Hi, I’m Sherry Shih, a Los Angeles-based Chinese calligrapher now also serving clients in Taipei and across Asia. Inspired by my mother, a professional artist from the National Taiwan University of Arts, I began my journey at age seven. Since then, I’ve showcased my work at venues like the Manhattan Beach Art Center and collaborated with organizations, festivals, and private clients.
At 史墨軒 (She Shines More), my creative studio, I combine traditional techniques with modern experiences to make Chinese calligraphy meaningful and accessible. Whether through custom artwork, engaging workshops, or live events, my work celebrates cultural connection and creativity.
For me, Chinese calligraphy is more than art—it’s a bridge between history and modern life. Every brushstroke tells a story, whether it’s honoring tradition or creating something new for a special moment.
